Longing for the Light: An Advent Morning of Reflection

After finishing her PhD in Russian literature, Cameron Bellm traded the academic life for the contemplative life.   She  authors the blog Krug the Thinker: Seeking the Sacred in the Every Day where she pursues her passion of reading, writing and exploring new ways to pray.  In March, she wrote a prayer called Prayer for a Pandemic, which went viral in churches and retreat centers across the country for its simple power and eloquence.  Her ministry has continued with a new publication entitled "A Consoling Embrace: Prayers for A Time of Pandemic," which is intended for both private prayer and corporate worship.

Come hear Cameron's reflections on where we are called to shine light in the darkness this Advent.  She will draw inspiration from Ignatian Spirituality, Catholic Social Teaching, Oscar Romero.
