Hear about Women in Tandem from owner Ana Yeager Lee '02. She will discuss the creation of Women in Tandem and what makes the community space for women so special.

This event is hosted by the Inland Empire Torero Club. It is free to attend but RSVP's are required.

Ana was born and raised in Riverside and has volunteered with over 15 local organizations. After completing an undergraduate program in Political Science at the University of San Diego, Ana participated in Americorps NCCC. She was stationed in the Southeast region of the United States completing service projects ranging from trail building in South Carolina to tutoring in Louisiana.

Ana worked for a local Riverside City Council Campaign prior to beginning law school. She returned to the University of San Diego for Law School and was grateful for an internship during her time in San Diego with the Public Defender’s Office that led her to practicing criminal defense. Ana began working for the San Bernardino County Office of the Public Defender in 2008. She was there for a decade, specializing in juvenile defense and treatment courts such as Mental Health Court, Drug Court and Girls Court.

She is married to Brent Lee, who also attended the University of San Diego. They were blessed to get married in Founders Chapel in 2008! Brent runs a local real estate firm, Windermere Tower Properties, and serves on the Riverside Unified School Board of Trustees. Together, they are instilling the core value of contributing to the community in their three children, Henry (10), Felix (8), and Amelia-Bea (6).

After being an attorney for 10 years and a working mom for 8 of those years, Ana recognized all of the hard work women were doing to serve every aspect of their lives: personal, professional and community. Women weren’t shying away from hard work but they were struggling to do it all the best they could. Ana left the law to open Women In Tandem, a lounge and workspace in downtown Riverside for women to focus, connect and get stuff done.

Ana supports women by providing physical space and resources to make women more efficient so they can continue to serve the community they love.
