How do we persevere through these challenging COVID times and build a thriving post-pandemic economy? One entrepreneurial spark might be all that's needed to start the transformation! That is what the University of San Diego's Fowler Business Concept Challenge is all about — lighting the passion of student entrepreneurs by inviting them to pitch a brand new business concept.
Attend the challenge to watch our student entrepreneurs ignite their big idea in front of San Diego's most respected business leaders and our local community! Industry and academic leaders will also take the stage to share how their organizations are leveraging entrepreneurial thinking during these times. Beware, this event might just spark your next business idea!
Join us on Oct. 30 to celebrate 16 semi-finalist student teams and cheer them on as they pitch their business concept to a panel of judges. After each team has pitched, you will vote to help us decide who should take home the Audience Choice Awards, and with them, thousands of dollars in scholarships!
Plus, hear from these industry and academic leaders:
Mr. Ron Fowler, executive chairman, San Diego Padres
Mr. Ron Coughlin, CEO, Petco
Mr. Mike Fasulo, president and COO, Sony
Ms. Caroline Winn, CEO, San Diego Gas & Electric
Ms. Susan Mallory, Board of Trustees, University of San Diego
Dr. Jim Harris, president, University of San Diego
Dr. Timothy Keane, dean, University of San Diego School of Business
Our heartfelt gratitude to Ron and Alexis Fowler for sparking the flame of entrepreneurship at USD through the Fowler Business Concept Challenge!
We thank our first-round judges, semifinalist judges, and final round judges for their dedication and commitment to our students.
