This year, in the spirit of our theme: TOGETHER: Stories of Strength, Resilience, and Innovation, The Nonprofit Institute is pleased to present the 2020 State of Nonprofit and Philanthropy Report and the 2020 Equinox Project's San Diego Regional Quality of Life Dashboard Report.

The Quality of Life Dashboard measures and benchmarks several environmental and economic trends throughout the region to ensure San Diego County is on a path to greater health, wealth, comfort and sustainability for current and future generations.

The State of Nonprofits and Philanthropy Report provides the latest findings on the state of San Diego’s nonprofit sector, as well as key trends and perspectives from leaders in nonprofits and philanthropy.

Our ongoing surveys of public opinion and leaders in nonprofits and philanthropy point to growing recognition that we can no longer work in silos to address our region’s greatest challenges and enhance our quality of life. Basic shelter, food security, clean air and clean water all contribute to good health. Ensuring that everyone has access to quality education, healthcare, and safe, affordable transportation contribute to a diverse and vibrant workforce. Arts and culture and our great outdoors weave the fabric of our quality of life while driving our vibrant economy. Our region prospers when we come together in common cause for the good of all our communities.

This year we bring together both reports highlighting their interconnections. Showcasing key trends in our region’s quality of life, with a critical focus on issues of equity and the impacts of the pandemic. We will spotlight the roles of nonprofits and philanthropy in the region, and focus in on strengthening our communities’ response to the current crisis, with stories of strength, resilience and innovation.

Going VIRTUAL!

We can’t wait to see you all at our virtual State of Nonprofits and Philanthropy Summit. We are using an exciting new digital platform to host the Summit that will provide a unique way to engage with the research material - YouTube LIVE. All sessions and plenaries will be held virtually! All registrants will receive instructions on how to access the virtual summit prior to the event. Session descriptions and speaker bios will be posted to The Nonprofit Institute website, under the State of Nonprofits and Philanthropy Summit webpage.
