In this first Zoom session as part of our virtual speaker series “Managing Under Uncertainty”, we welcome Ali Reza Arabnia (USD MBA ’87), Group Chairman, President and CEO, GeicoTaikisha Group, from his home base in Italy.

We are dealing with an extraordinary situation which is larger than anything our generation has known. Mr. Arabnia will discuss how he is balancing the needs of all of his stakeholders in the best way he can in such a rapidly evolving global health crisis.

Mr. Arabnia is the group chairman, president and CEO of GeicoTaikisha Group, a Milan-based company that designs and manufactures turnkey car painting systems for customers around the world. His company is passionate about CSR initiatives and innovative technology with a focus on continuous learning for more than 5,000 employees in 28 countries around the world.

Mr. Arabnia helped steer the company through the 2008 financial crisis, investing considerable sums into innovative new technologies that would differentiate GeicoTaikisha Group from its competitors and revamping employee training to prepare his team for the future. After the financial crisis, Mr. Arabnia committed additional funds and resources both to his employees and the younger generation in Italy, recognizing his role in ensuring corporate profitability and social responsibility. His leadership led to him being knighted a Cavaliere del Lavoro (Knight of Labor) by the former Italian President Giorgio Napolitano in 2004.
