One-night only special event with Executive Producer Heidi Houston

Currently 70 million women are going through menopause and another 35 million are on the brink. A film “Hot Flash Havoc” to be shown at the University of San Diego on Saturday, July 20 will provide an enlightening, entertaining and humorous crash course on this critical stage of a woman’s life.

The film was inspired by Executive Producer Heidi Houston’s real-life, three-year search to find solutions to the health issues she was facing. A fortuitous meeting with renowned Dr. Elizabeth Vliet helped Houston find treatment after years of suffering from headaches, joint pains, mood swings and hot flashes.
The film has received rave reviews from other experts in the field. “If you are a woman, live with a woman or know a woman this is a must see,” said Phyllis Greenberger, president and CEO of the Society for Women’s Health Research.

The free event takes place at USD’s Shiley Theatre in Camino Hall from 6 to 10 p.m. A panel discussion, Q&A and reception with menopause experts and Houston will follow the film. The first 100 attendees will receive a free gift bag.

USD’s Department of Human Resources is sponsoring the event with Kaiser Permanente and Cigna. The event is part of USD’s “Being Well @ USD” campaign for employees but the film is open to the entire San Diego community.
