April is Mathematics Awareness Month, and this year's theme is "Mathematics, Statistics, and the Data Deluge." During this month, universities and high schools around the United States organize mathematics activities. The University of San Diego Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, in collaboration with High Tech High International, will host a Mathematics Scavenger Hunt and Career Day for High School Students on April 27, 2012 at USD.

The activities for the day will include:

- Breakfast
- An interactive mathematics activity session
- A mathematics scavenger hunt
- Lunch
- A career panel and discussion
- An awards ceremony
