This resource guide is intended to help you identify resources throughout San Diego County to better serve your clients. The guide is divided into twenty (20) areas of need and specialty. When searching for a service, you will notice some organizations are listed in multiple sections due to the organization serving a diverse population. Domestic Violence
Advocacy for victims of domestic violence and program for international victims of Human Trafficking (includes legal immigration services, emergency confidential housing, and family law services including divorce and child support).
Domestic violence (also called intimate partner violence (IPV), domestic abuse or relationship abuse) is a pattern of behaviors used by one partner to maintain power and control over another partner in an intimate relationship. Domestic violence includes behaviors that physically harm, arouse fear, prevent a partner from doing what they wish or force them to behave in ways they do not want. It includes the use of physical and sexual violence, threats and intimidation, emotional abuse and economic deprivation. Many of these different forms of domestic violence/abuse can be occurring at any one time within the same intimate relationship.

Housing and Food Insecurity
2-1-1 San Diego strives to meet your housing needs ranging from transitional housing, affordable housing, information on fair housing and housing resources for seniors and the disabled. 2-1-1 is working closely with San Diego County cities and local housing agencies like Community Housing Works, San Diego Housing Commission, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and HUD approved agencies to connect San Diegans to the most appropriate housing resource for their needs.

We are a non-profit organization striving to support and empower homeless women through the distribution of free feminine products every month, with the hope to decrease their monthly worries on these important needed products that they cannot afford to buy. This document provides information regarding various mental health clubhouses in San Diego County. Clubhouses are listed by regional locations. A Clubhouse is organized to support people living with mental illness. During the course of their participation in a Clubhouse, members gain access to opportunities to rejoin the worlds of friendships, family, employment and education, and to the services and support they may individually need to continue their recovery. A Clubhouse provides a restorative environment for people whose lives have been severely disrupted because of their mental illness, and who need the support of others who are in recovery and who believe that mental illness is treatable.

Since 1995, the Alliance for African Assistance has resettled refugees from over 20 different countries. Our Resettlement Department is comprised of case managers, drivers and job developers, all of whom play an integral role in the resettlement process for each of our refugees.

The International Rescue Committee provides opportunities for refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, survivors of torture, and other immigrants to thrive in America.
JFS provides essential services to people regardless of religion, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ability, gender identity/expression, or sexual orientation including a 24-48 hour shelter available for families and relocation assistance.
Karen Organization of San Diego is committed to the educational and social enhancement of various ethnic minority groups from Burma who reside in San Diego.

The Refugee Health Assessment Program (RHAP) is funded by the State of California and provides newly arrived refugees, asylees, victims of trafficking, and other eligible entrants with culturally and linguistically appropriate comprehensive health assessments, including follow-up and referrals for health conditions identified in the assessment process within the first three months of their arrival to San Diego County.

The program provides Chaldean & Middle-Eastern Refugees with culturally and linguistically appropriate services to integrate them into the American Society. Bibliotherapy is a creative arts therapies modality that involves storytelling or the reading of specific texts with the purpose of healing. It uses an individual's relationship to the content of books and poetry and other written words as therapy.
This guide is to be a professional resource for bilingual MFT students at the University of San Diego. Research suggests that bilingual therapists face special rewards and challenges. Faith-based support group for families who have lost someone to suicide.
Camp Reach for the Sky offers 2 options for bereaved families: 1) RyanStrong Bereavement Camp for families that have lost a child under the age of 18 to childhood cancer; and 2) Sibling Camp, a weeklong quality of life camp for siblings of active cancer patients or families that have lost a child to cancer. Our programs are pure quality of life and free for all participants.
