The registration system will not permit you to drop your class online. You will have to email the Torero Hub at torerohub@sandiego.edu if you change your mind or want to withdraw from Intersession.

If the conditions set out in the Undergraduate Catalog are met. You must obtain your advisor's signature for approval.
You can register through your MySandiego Portal during online registration, which runs between October 1 - 29. After online registration ends please send an email to the Torero Hub at torerohub@sandiego.edu with your registration request and they can assist. Please note that after online registration ends tuition will be due at the time of registration.
You must email the Torero Hub at torerohub@sandiego.edu. Drops will be processed according to the Refund schedule.
You may register for a maximum of 4 units. If more units are necessary, you may request an Appeal for Overload. Please fill out the form and save the PDF on your desktop. First, send the form to your advisor for approval as an attachment from your USD email account. When you received the approval from your advisor, please forward the form to the Dean's office for approval. Once both approvals are obtained, please send the completed form to sio@sandiego.edu (Digital signatures will be permitted).

Wait lists are kept in Banner registration system during the four week online registration period. After online registration ends you can email the Summer and Intersession Office starting November 3 at 8:30 a.m. to get on the wait list. Wait lists are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
As a reminder the University will close for the Christmas holiday on Wednesday, 12/24/25 thru Friday, 1/2/26. The last day wait list notifications will go out will be on Friday, 12/19/25.
Tuition rates depend on your enrollment status; one unit is $2,115 for undergraduate students.
Tuition for courses reserved using Online Registration is due December 1. For any student who registers after the online registration period has ended, tuition is due in full at the time of email registration. Please see important dates for more information.
Summer and Intersession require separate Financial Aid Applications. You must have already completed a FAFSA for that current academic year. The application is located under your My Financial Aid page of the portal, under the Financial Aid Useful Links section on the right-hand side.

No, that is not possible and there are no payment plans available for Intersession. Tuition must be paid in full by December 1 if you use Online registration or at the time of email registration.
Only if you officially drop by emailing the Torero Hub, then refunds are at the applicable rate as published in the catalog. If you fail to attend a class you’ve registered for and do not officially drop, you will be charged for the class and receive an “F” on your transcript.

All non-USD students who wish to enroll in Summer or Intersession classes should apply through the Office of Professional and Continuing Education/Open Campus.
