Housing Selection Process: Part 2
Roommate Selection
March
- Search for roommates & message potential roommates in portal
- Form roommate groups
- Receive randomly assigned lottery time via email if approved for apartment selection
Housing Selection Process: Part 3
Apartment Selection
April
- Login 1 hour before randomly assigned lottery time to view availability
- Note that availability changes every second so be sure to have plan A, B and C
- Select room & add to cart
- If part of a roommate group, the person with the earliest timeslot can assign housing for each group member
- must manually assign a specific bed-space to each person & be sure every member is reflected in the cart
- roommates will not automatically be pulled into the apartment simply by being linked as a roommate group

- Friday, April 17 - Day 2 of Sr/Jr selection
- Tuesday, April 21 - Day 1 of Sophomore selection

Undergraduate and Graduate residents are expected to vacate their room 24 hours after their last final exam or by noon on Saturday, December 19, 2026 (whichever occurs first), unless they are approved to stay on campus for the winter break period (Dec 19- Jan 2).

Early Arrivals & Occupancy
Due to the increase in student organizations arriving to campus prior to move in, Residential Life will only be accepting personal early arrival requests on a case by case basis. No early arrivals will be accepted past 5pm on the Friday before new student move-in.
Please note that if an early arrival request is approved then there will be a daily fee of $65 posted to the student account. There will be an additional $65 late/processing fee if the early arrival request is made within 5 business days prior to the requested check-in date.
Students who are members of a team or club that require an early arrival should contact their coach or group advisor for additional information. Early arrival charges may still apply for these student groups.
All Housing Agreements are for the full academic year. Information specific to the 2026-27 occupancy period is listed below. These dates are tentative and may be subject to change.

Residents that have petitioned to graduate will have until 12pm (noon) on the Monday following Commencement to vacate their rooms.
New Incoming First-Year Students
The fall semester occupancy period for new incoming freshmen and transfers Saturday, August 29, 2026 until noon on Saturday, December 19, 2026 or twenty-four hours after the resident's last examination (whichever comes earlier).
New Incoming Transfers
The fall semester occupancy period for new incoming freshmen and transfers Saturday, August 29, 2026 until noon on Saturday, December 19, 2025 or twenty-four hours after the resident's last examination (whichever comes earlier).
Undergraduates (Returning)
The fall semester occupancy period for returning undergraduates in non-continuous occupancy is 10am on Monday, August 31, 2026 until noon on Saturday, December 19, 2026 or twenty-four hours after the resident's last examination (whichever comes earlier).
Graduate Students
The academic year occupancy period for graduate student residents provides for continuous occupancy from 10 am on Monday, August 31, 2026 through noon on Thursday, May 20, 2027.
Law Students
The academic year occupancy period for law student residents provides for continuous occupancy from 10 am on Saturday, August 15, 2026 through noon on Sunday, May 16, 2027.
Continuous occupancy (including Christmas/Winter Break and Intersession) is available at no additional expense only for non-freshman residents in the San Antonio de Padua, Presidio Terrace Apartments, Pacific Ridge, and Manchester Village for students who fulfill the full academic year Agreement.
Any Resident who does not fulfill the full academic year Agreement shall pay the applicable room fees established for those periods (i.e. Christmas/Winter Break and Intersession) assessed to residents in non-continuous occupancy campus housing buildings.
Standard applicable room fees will also apply to any freshman resident who is approved to reside on campus during Christmas/Winter Break and Intersession. Freshman residents may have to move to a continuous occupancy area during the breaks.
