Volunteer Opportunities

The Office of Parent Relations advises a Parents Advisory Board. The board meets four times a year and exists to integrate parents into the university community by mobilizing them to volunteer their talents and abilities, to contribute financially, and to join other parents, students and university personnel in helping to create an educational environment consistent with the mission statement of USD.

June – August

Summer Send-Offs

Host a Summer Send-Off or serve as USD parent representatives for incoming parents and families in your home or at a local venue.

Parent Ambassadors

The Office of Parent Relations coordinates a national parent volunteer program. Parents may volunteer to serve as a USD Parent Ambassador to the university by assisting with Parent Relations, Admissions, and regional events. Parents and families of USD students serve as parent ambassadors (or volunteers) and have the opportunity to participate in the Parent Ambassador program. It’s a great opportunity to become involved with USD, meet other parents/families, further connect with your student’s college experience, and simply enjoy your status as a USD Torero parent. Learn more about volunteering as Parent Ambassadors. Sign up by emailing parents@sandiego.edu. Parents of alumni are welcome and encouraged to join.

Parent Corps

Currently, the Parent Corps is conducting its Parent Corps Care project, a gently used clothing drive benefiting USD students. If you are interested in donating or would like more information about the drive, please contact USD's Office of Parent and Family Relations at (619) 260-4808 or parents@sandiego.edu
