Summer Send Offs
Incoming fall Torero families can begin their USD journey during the summer with a Summer Send-Off, located in our larger feeder cities! Hosted by parents and alumni, these programmed events are designed to connect with future classmates and new Torero families, get all your questions answered by USD administrators and learn more about how to prepare for move-in and beyond. Our Summer Send Offs begin mid-June and are scheduled until mid-August.
Parent and Family Orientation
Participate in our orientation sessions to receive essential information and support for coaching your student from afar. Become part of the vibrant USD community, stay engaged in their educational journey and connect with other families. Fall orientation is held in August during OLÉ! Weekend, and spring orientation is held in January for students beginning in the spring semester.
Homecoming and Family Weekend
Join us for a weekend of exciting events where current families, their students and alumni come together to celebrate our vibrant Torero Community! Enjoy quality time with your student and their friends, and immerse yourself in the USD spirit while cheering on our Torero football team to victory. Our next Homecoming and Family Weekend takes place October 16-18, 2026!
Evening Under the Stars
Celebrate Homecoming and Family Weekend with us at our signature fundraising event, organized by our Parent Advisory Board. Each year features a unique theme, inviting you to dress up and join the fun with festive games and activities, delicious food, and a silent auction. Net proceeds benefit the Torero Student Support Fund. Our next Evening Under the Stars takes place Friday, October 16, 2026!
Grandparents and Family Spring Weekend
A cherished USD tradition, this weekend offers grandparents and families a deeper look into life at USD and the chance to experience the campus alongside your student. Our next Grandparents and Family Spring Weekend takes place February 20-22, 2026!
Commencement and Mid-Year Graduate Mass
Celebrate your Torero's academic achievements at our Commencement ceremonies and Mid-Year Graduate Mass, marking the start of an exciting new chapter. Spring Commencements are held in May, while the Mid-Year Graduate Mass takes place in December.
