A retired naval officer and registered nurse for over 25 years, Dr. Tony Rosales is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and emergency care clinical nurse specialist with extensive clinical experience in emergency care, family practice and cosmetic dermatology. As a nurse entrepreneur, Dr. Rosales has been involved in multiple start-up practices to include one of the nation’s largest aesthetic practices and he provides mentorship and consulting for several medical groups. Currently serving as the academic coordinator and adjunct clinical associate professor, Dr. Rosales is faculty in both the health care informatics program as well as the nurse practitioner and emergency care programs.
Education
Dr. Rosales competed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1995 and his Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas as an Emergency Care Clinical Nurse Specialist in 2002. He went on to obtain a Post-Master’s Certificate as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas in 2002 and his Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of San Diego in 2017. With a 4.0 graduate GPA, Dr. Rosales is a proud member of the Sigma Theta Tau honor society of nursing.
Achievements
In addition to years of clinical practice in emergency care and primary care. Dr Rosales conceptualized, developed and implemented three urgent care facilities within multiple emergency departments. Dr. Rosales managed the administrative aspects of emergency care facilities to include root cause analysis, process improvement, finance, healthcare policy and quality assurance.
As a master level injector, Dr. Rosales is recognized as one of the nation’s top injectors of neurotoxins and dermal fillers. Highly sought out for his expertise. Dr. Rosales has provided aesthetic services to thousands of patients and provides training and mentorship to providers throughout the West Coast.
Dr. Rosales is the founder and of Before-N-After, LLC., a medical weight loss and aesthetic practice that is ranked as one of the top 50 aesthetic accounts in the nation. Dr. Rosales provides care throughout his three facilities and manages a practice with over 80,000 annual visits.
Military Career
Dr. Rosales’ is a highly decorated retired Naval Officer with 21 years of active service. His military awards include the Naval Commendation Award, Naval Achievement Award, National Defense Award, and the Humanitarian Service Award and Nurse Corp Officer of the Year.
Research and Evidence Based Projects
Dr. Rosales has participated in multiple research projects on medical weight loss and obesity, best practice aesthetic treatments, tele-medicine and nurse owned clinics.
