Students must confirm their decision to enroll by submitting the Student Record Form within 10 days of acceptance.
Course registration will be available through the MySanDiego portal mid-March for summer, mid-July for fall, and mid-November for spring. You will receive an email shortly before that time with instructions for completing your course plan and enrollment.
If you have questions about the registration process or need assistance with your course selections, please email paralegal@sandiego.edu.
The registration system will only allow you to register for courses within your program option (day/eve). If you are interested in taking a course outside of your program option, please email your request to paralegal@sandiego.edu. Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, in the order they are received, starting about a month prior to term start. Your request must include: 1) the course you are interested in taking and 2) the reason for wanting to take that specific course. Please note that priority is given to students within their program option. Requests will be considered after the priority registration date has closed and if there are still spots available.
Students must have a tuition plan in place prior to the first day of class. View our Financing Options page for more information on FAFSA, payment plans, private loans, and other accepted forms of funding. Unpaid balances may accrue interest and/or penalty fees.
The Student Accounts website has tutorials and information on billing and payment methods.
Students with documented disabilities are encouraged to contact the Disability and Learning Difference Resource Center prior to the start of classes to request accommodations and support.
Students can update their preferred name by going to the MySanDiego student portal > My Torero Services > click on Update Preferred Name. By completing a request form in the portal, the preferred first name will appear where allowable by the university. In public or semi-public systems where names are visible to other students, instructors, faculty, campus officials, and the general public, preferred first name will be displayed. Browse the FAQ page for further information.
Paralegal students are not required to obtain an ID card but may do so if desired. The student ID card is used for identification, campus cash, and other campus business such as checking out library materials. As online students, Paralegal students do not need to visit campus. You can use a student ID card to receive student discounts for movie tickets, amusement parks, and public transportation. If interested, after you have registered for classes, stop by Campus Card Services to pick up your ID card — don't forget to bring your student ID number and a valid photo ID with you.
As online students, Paralegal students will not need to visit campus. Should you decide to visit and park on campus, you will need to display a valid permit or pay the metered parking Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
On-campus housing is not available for Paralegal students; however, the Office of Graduate Admissions provides resources to help students looking for off-campus housing — the resources listed are meant for informational purposes, USD does not endorse any off-campus housing or website.
