Director of Sustainability
John Alejandro leads USD’s Office of Sustainability to implement and manage the university’s Energy Master Plan, a bold and comprehensive energy reduction initiative designed to help USD achieve its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2035. With more than fifteen years of experience in the sustainability and renewable energy fields, he understands that taking a thoughtful and collaborative approach to working with diverse stakeholders can achieve goals and deliver results. Previously, he served as the Renewable Energy Planner for the City of Santa Fe in New Mexico.
