The Larry Kull Endowed Student Award in Engineering and Entrepreneurship was recently established to honor Dr. Larry Kull. He is remembered by former colleagues, family and friends as a remarkable scientist, problem-solver, mentor and business leader. To honor his memory, his friends and former colleagues, including Randy Vosti, Hugh Kendrick and Stephen Dalich, have established this award, which will provide student awards in perpetuity.  We invite you to visit Dr. Kull’s biography.

Torero Entrepreneurship Challenge (TECh)

The Larry Kull Endowed Student Award in Engineering and Entrepreneurship increases every year in perpetuity and will fund $15,000 of the total $45,000 in seed money that will be awarded at Etrack’s Torero Entrepreneurship Challenge (TECh) competition on April 8, 2021. Awarding is based on the most successful demonstration of technological innovation or new product service development and its alignment to markets. 

Enter the TECh Competition

Student teams can present their venture to industry professionals and real angel investors for a chance to compete for up to $45,000 in seed money at the Torero Entrepreneurship Challenge (TECh) on April 8, 2021. Any USD student team with a technology component, regardless of their degree program, is eligible to compete for the the Larry Kull Endowed Student Award in Engineering and Entrepreneurship. The award must be used to advance the project. The 2021 TECh submission deadline is March 26, 2021. Visit our TECh competition page for eligibility and submission details.
