QPR
Question, Persuade, and Refer
3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide
Just as people trained in CPR help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. QPR is designed for our whole community to get trained in, including: students, staff, faculty, and administrators. It is important for members across our community to be trained to spot the early warning signs of suicide and know how to apply QPR.
During the QPR Training & Certification, you will learn to:
- Recognize the warning signs of suicide
- Know how to offer hope to someone who is struggling with their mental health
- Know how to get someone help at USD and in the community
