Dr. Lauren V. Bruaski, Psy.D., LMFT, is a distinguished clinician and educator based in San Diego with over a decade of dedication to the field of systemic therapy. Her leadership extends to the University of San Diego’s Tele-Mental Health Training Clinic, where she serves as Executive Clinical Director, and her own private practice, Gray Whale Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Bruaski is recognized as an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, providing expert guidance to associates and trainees across various clinical settings, including recovery-focused environments like SoberLife Recovery Solutions.

Beyond her administrative and professorial roles, Dr. Bruaski is deeply committed to evidence-based, compassionate care, utilizing modalities such as CBT, DBT, and Narrative Therapy to support individuals, couples, and families. Her professional reach is further evidenced by her work as a SMART Recovery Facilitator and her pro-bono contributions to A Home Within, where she supports individuals with lived experience in the foster care system. A lifelong learner, she has completed advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and competency-based supervision. When not in the clinic, Dr. Bruaski is an active community advocate, participating in initiatives like the Out of the Darkness San Diego Walk and local resource drives for those experiencing homelessness.
