History Alumni Spotlight: Abigail Stallard

USD Alumna Abigail Stallard ‘24 (BA) reflects on her academic journey and the significant impact the Department of History had on her scholarly pursuits. "The History Department gave me the experience of pursuing research and being in a scholarly environment with enthusiastic staff and students; but most important to me was the community," she said.

Since graduating, Stallard has continued to build on her academic foundation. She will be attending the University of California, Davis this fall to begin her pursuit of a PhD in history, focusing on United States environmental history.

Stallard credits USD History with setting her up to succeed in her academic career. She shared, “The relationships with professors who cheer for your success along with peers who motivate you and become great friends are what I reflect on when I think of the department.”
