CPIL’s Executive Director, Professor Robert Fellmeth Op-Ed Appears in The Fulcrum

SAN DIEGO (June 12, 2024) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law Centers for Public Interest Law’s Executive Director Robert C. Fellmeth published an Opinion in The Fulcrum entitled, “Eight needed steps to save democracy and our future.”

According to Fellmeth, democracies in decline rarely end abruptly. They usually unravel slowly and subtly over time; the rot slowly reveals itself until the endgame becomes obvious. Threats to democracy are now out in the open and very real, but there are some steps we can take to help preserve governance by informed people who are concerned about our children and the Earth we leave behind.

Fellmeth goes on to describe eight pathways to save our democracy.
