Los Angeles Torero Social at El Coyote
There are few Los Angeles landmarks as rich in history and warmth as El Coyote—one of LA's oldest and most iconic Mexican restaurants. Founded in 1931, it provides the perfect backdrop for celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with USD alumni.
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the School of Law and USD Alumni Relations are teaming up for a spectacular social at the historic El Coyote. This gathering carries extra pride as USD celebrates its official designation as an emerging Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI).
We are thrilled to welcome Eric Hafner, Senior Director of Alumni Relations, and School of Law Dean Robert Schapiro, alongside Dr. Karen Sigmond ’96 (JD), Assistant Dean of Graduate and International Programs, who will be on hand to reconnect with alumni, share campus updates, and engage with our vibrant Southern California network.
This event also highlights the extraordinary work of USD Law’s Office of Graduate and International Programs. Under Dr. Sigmond’s leadership, the department drives global legal education, fosters cross-border partnerships across Latin America and beyond, and supports a diverse international student body whose global perspectives enrich the legal profession across Southern California and around the world.
Your ticket includes the following:
- Intentional networking activities to keep the conversation flowing
- First drink
- Tasty bites to share
Hosted by the Los Angeles Torero Club and the School of Law.
