Employee Giving Campaign Raises Hundreds of Thousands for USD Students

The University of San Diego (USD) concluded another successful Students First! Employee Giving Campaign on April 30, 2026. Demonstrating a shared commitment to the university’s mission, faculty, staff and administrators raised more than $320,000 to support vital initiatives across campus.

Each year, USD employees rally to invest in the future of its students by contributing to scholarships, academic programs and student-focused funds. This year’s month-long campaign saw an impressive 66% employee participation rate, with 8 divisions and departments reaching 100% participation: Career Development, Student Life, Custodial Services, Grounds and Transportation, Human Resources, Mobility, Registrar and the President’s Office.

To celebrate these collective efforts, donors were honored at a university-wide reception on Tuesday, May 5, followed by a facilities breakfast on Wednesday, May 6. “Each year, your generosity, your enthusiasm and your ability to rally the troops and to encourage your colleagues, co-workers and members of your work family to support this endeavor continue to inspire me,” noted President James T. Harris III, DEd, during his remarks at the reception. “It’s truly evident that USD begins with us!”
