Congratulations to the USD faculty and staff who were recognized at the fifth annual Sister Sally Furay Exemplary Faculty & Staff Awards. The awards recognize faculty and staff members who are championing an inclusive and diverse environment across USD's campus. The Institute of College Initiatives won the Gail F. Baker Outstanding Unit Award for Inclusive Excellence and Programming.
And five outstanding USD members from the College of Arts and Sciences, the Kroc School and Student Affairs were recognized by The San Diego Business Journal as part of the county’s 50 black leaders of influence.
Pactful, a program of The Jacobs Institute, was recently recognized by UNESCO as a global model for student-centered innovation. Now featured on UNESCO’s SDG 4 Knowledge Hub, Pactful’s design thinking approach is highlighted as a leading strategy advancing the UN's Education 2030 Agenda by equipping young people with the skills and and global perspective to lead meaningful, youth-driven change.
