Re-Appeal Citation

If you would like to contest an appeal decision, USD offers a re-appeal process for students, which is overseen by Associated Students. Re-appeals must be submitted within 7 days of the Appeals Committee response. To qualify for a re-appeal you must pay your citation fine in full and submit a request for re-appeal within 7 days of your first level appeal results. Please request all re-appeals at least 7 business days prior to the re-appeal date. If you would like to schedule a re-appeal, please submit your re-appeal request. Available re-appeal dates are listed on the form.

Please note, if there is no proof of payment, your re-appeal will be denied. You must bring with you a photo ID, proof of payment, the citation information (citation number), and your reason for re-appealing with any additional information, documents, etc. to your re-appeal hearing to help expedite the appeals process. Your re-appeal does not guarantee any change to the primary results from the first level of appeals.

It is your responsibility to be on time and present or you will risk being skipped. All re-appeal sessions will be held via zoom. If there are no scheduled re-appeals by the last scheduled appointment, the committee will have the right to terminate the re-appeals early. Please make sure you arrive on time or you will forfeit your right to re-appeal for that citation. Your right to re-appeal is waived if the scheduled re-appeal date is missed.

Graduate, Law students, and employee re-appeals are scheduled through Parking Services by email. The citation(s) must be paid in full before setting an appointment.

NOTE: Visitors and university guests are not eligible to re-appeal a citation once the initial decision has been made.
