MCLE Events

With a few exceptions, all attorneys who are actively practicing law in California must complete ongoing legal training referred to as Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE). The State Bar establishes and monitors compliance with the MCLE requirements for California licensees. The USD School of Law is a State Bar of California approved MCLE provider and regularly hosts events for MCLE credit.

RJS LAW Tax Institute

The Institute is the premier tax controversy event in San Diego. Every year, the region's top tax attorneys, CPAs and law/business school professors will discuss topics including what practitioners can expect with the new IRS Office of Fraud Enforcement as well as how to properly advise clients with collection issues.

Western Alliance Bank Class Action Law Forum

At the Class Action Law Forum, attendees hear insights and take part in discussions on the most important developments and issues surrounding class actions and mass torts. Panelists include sitting federal judges and top defense and plaintiffs' attorneys. MCLE credit is available, but USD Law is not the MCLE distributor for this event.

Patent Law Conference

The Patent Law Conference, first held in 2011, generally takes place in March. The conference brings together some of the top intellectual property legal minds in the region including judges, attorneys, scholars and industry leaders.
