Here are resources, software, and equipment that we provide for use in our general computer lab and lounge. If you require assistance with any of the equipment or have any questions regarding the software installed on the computers, please let us know. This general computer lab is located on the second floor of Saints Tekakwitha & Serra Hall in Room 205. We provide students with both Windows and Mac computers as well as laptops available for check-out for up to 5 hours. Listed below are equipment and available software installed in the lab. Customer Support Services is proud to provide wēpa, a new printing system that became available Fall 2019.
What is wēpa? Wēpa is a wireless printing service that allows students to print documents to a wēpa kiosk from their cloud account, the web, a USB drive, their smartphone or any campus or personal computer. All USD students have a wēpa account already created and tied into their USDOne account. In order to print, you must have funds in your wēpa account (recommended) or campus cash account (using USD ID card).

General Use of Computer Labs
Our general computing labs are for use only by currently enrolled students or currently employed USD faculty and staff.
- No disruptive behavior.
- No unplugging or moving the lab equipment and/or cables.
- No laptops on the wired network (exception: Instructors for instructional purposes). It is okay to have laptops in the labs and be on the wireless network, they just can't be physically plugged into our jacks.
- No illegal copying of ANY materials.
- Keep sound levels to a minimum.
- The lab computers are for USD students, staff and faculty ONLY.
Refund Policy
- If you have a printing issue that is related to the wēpa printing kiosk using wēpa funds, you can submit a request at http://support.wepanow.com/refund-procedures/ For more information go to www.wepanow.com Refunds will NOT be provided for printing mistakes. You are still responsible for print charges associated with your username. For refunds associated with campus cash, you will need to contact the Campus Card Services at (619) 260-5999.
Food and Drink
Food and covered drinks are permitted within the following guidelines.
- Beverages brought into the computer lab must be in a covered, spill-proof containers or capped bottles and kept away from the computers to avoid spills on any equipment. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
- Any spills should be reported to the Lab staff immediately
- Excessive quantities of food or drink and large group meals are not permitted.
- Delivery of food or drink to the computer labs or distribution of food or drink within the computer labs is not permitted without advance authorization by Computer Lab Administration.
- Consumption of alcohol is not permitted with the exception of legal-aged guests at authorized events where alcohol is served.
- Food is permitted in the lab however, we ask that you please clean up after yourself and dispose of foods that are strong-smelling or messy outside the lab
- Any food left unattended may be discarded by our lab staff
Customer Support Services's mission is to serve each user by making laptops, laptops accessories and headphone materials available when they are needed from the Saints Tekakwitha & Serra Hall 205 computer lab. We ask that you do your part to assure continued timely service to all by returning borrowed materials promptly within the stated loan periods. Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Connecting with our wireless network is done with just a few steps. First, you need to make sure your laptop is equipped with a wireless network card. Next, visit our wireless website for instructions on setting up your laptop to connect with USD's wireless network.
Our wēpa printers only take standard printing paper at this time. To print on resume or any other special sized or colored paper, you can visit USD's University Copy Department located behind Maher Hall, just east of the Immaculata. Their offices are open Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The computer labs do not have copy or fax machines however, SH205 has a scanner which can be used for printing/emailing documents.
All printing on campus is done through one of our wēpa printing systems using the wēpa mobile app, your USD Torero ID Card, or a wēpa account. We encourage using the wēpa mobile app, which allows you to easily add funds with a credit card, Apple Pay, Venmo, or PayPal.
You can also add CampusCash to your USD Torero ID Card and use it to pay for printing. However, you will need your physical USD Torero ID Card to complete the payment at a kiosk.
Please note that cash is not accepted at any of our kiosks.
If you have never activated your campus cash account, all you need to do is make a minimum deposit of $5.00. Visit the CampusCash website for more info. Login with your mysandiego credentials and select Make a Deposit. Enter in your credit card information and even save it for future use. Within minutes you can use your ID everywhere CampusCash is accepted. Purchases are deducted from your account, and your remaining balance is instantly displayed. CampusCash is the safest, fastest, and easiest way to obtain the things you need.
Yes! You can print to any of our wēpa kiosks by downloading the wēpa drivers to your laptop, or printing from your tablet or phone through the wēpa app. For more information on printing, please visit our printing website or stop into Saints Hall Computer Lab and Loung in SH205 and one of our staff members will be able to assist you.
Our SH205 computer lab located in Saints Tekakwitha & Serra Hall has a collaboration corner specifically for collaborating. It is equipped with a MediaScape table with 4 laptop connectors and a large TV screen for doing group work. Mac users will need a VGA adapter in order to connect to the screen. SH205 also has VGA adapters and laptops for student checkout for four hours at no cost. You must have a USD Torero ID card or MyUSD mobile app in order to check out any equipment.
