Jelitsa serves as the Executive Assistant to Dr. Cynthia Avery, Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs, and Dr. Margaret Leary, Assistant Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Programs.

Jelitsa earned her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Psychology at California State University Channel Islands. Throughout her undergrad, Jelitsa was heavily involved with student activities which is where her interest in student affairs first began. Upon graduating she decided to change career paths and pursue a degree in higher education to continue supporting student success outside of the classroom. Jelitsa earned her master’s degree in Higher Education Leadership at the University of San Diego in May 2018. During her graduate career, she was a part of the Student Affairs/SOLES Collaborative as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Sustainability. She’s excited to continue contributing to the USD community in her new role within the Student Affairs administration office.
