Office of Sustainability

The Challenge Portfolio continues to grow in 2013 with the USD ONE Challenge. We are partnering with the Office of Sustainability to encourage the entire USD community in generating ideas to tackle the issue of Environment, wasteful production and consumption.

Center for Food Systems Transformation

The Center for Food Systems Transformation (CFST) focuses on advancing food systems that address climate change and justice issues. CFST supports campus efforts to create a more ethical food system, aligns institutional food practices with community values, and enhances USD's justice-driven Food Studies program. Guided by USD's commitment to Laudato Si', ethical leadership and compassionate service, CFST aims to foster a more just and sustainable food system.

Center for Educational Excellence

During the 2012-2013 academic year, we are an active part of CEE’s Changemaker Professional Learning Community, in which a group comprising of 17 faculty and staff will discuss ways to integrate social change content into courses, programs and pedagogy.

University Ministry

UM works with The Hub by sponsoring the Summer Changemaker Fellows and by offering a variety of opportunities for students to foster change off-campus, on-campus and in themselves.

Community Partners

The Changemaker Hub, in partnership with the Mulvaney Center for Community, Awareness, and Social Action, launched The Impact Linda Vista Initiative in Fall 2013. Sponsored through a grant from U.S. Bank, the initiative seeks to strengthen the Linda Vista community through co-development of innovative social initiatives by USD students and Linda Vista residents, where research, learning, and service are integral components. This community-collaborative learning program directly impacts Linda Vista residents while building a committed student body prepared to make change in very personal and effective ways.

Office of Undergraduate Research

The Changemaker HUB has partnered with the Office of Undergraduate Research to support faculty with current community partnerships to incorporate community based research (CBR) and undergraduates into their CS projects/CSL.
