Purpose
The fund is to provide scholarships to students who have declared a major in history. Both need and merit will be considered. Recipients will be selected by faculty in the history department.
Wagner Family Scholarship in History

Candidate description
Preference shall be given to students pursuing studies in global history from a decolonial perspective. The scholarship recipient shall demonstrate strong academic performance and a clear passion for history. Selection of the recipient(s) shall be made by the history faculty, in accordance with USD’s scholarship policies and procedures.
Purpose
The Wagner Family Scholarship in History is established to provide a merit-based scholarship to benefit undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences who have declared a major in history.
This scholarship shall be awarded on a refundable basis up to the Federal limit for the total cost of attendance. The Wagner family is very excited about this scholarship. Todd and Julie Wagner are the proud parents of College of Arts and Sciences alumna, Claire Wagner '23, who was an outstanding History major and winner of the Iris Engstrand Prize in History.
