Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) is a fighting art that originated in Thailand and is know as the “Art of Eight Limbs” as it uses elbows, knees, and kicks. Classes will involve the use of shadowboxing, footwork, padwork, heavy bag training, and partner coordination drills. While we will spend time conditioning to fight, it is not to be confused with cardio kickboxing classes.
Please arrive to class ten minutes early to wrap your hands and warm up. (Hand wraps and gear is provided, but please bring your own if you have them). Wear comfortable athletic clothes. Muay Thai is practiced barefoot and shoes cannot be worn in class.
No experience necessary. Considerations will be made for more advanced practitioners.
*Offered varied semesters only.
