The MSBA program is for those looking to solve problems within their chosen field using a new, data-driven mindset to make better business decisions. MSBA students come from a variety of backgrounds, and have 0 to 6.5 years of professional experience.
The MS in Business Analytics program teaches a variety of languages and tools: you'll learn how to interact with databases using SQL, perform statistical analysis using IBM SPSS Modeler, manipulate data using Python and R, and visualize data using Tableau and Power BI. You'll also begin to apply advanced techniques using AI and machine learning.
The University of San Diego is proud to offer a STEM designated MSBA program, highlighting the analytical and data-driven curriculum we provide. The STEM designation from the Department of Homeland Security is also extremely beneficial to international students looking for work in the U.S. after graduating. It allows international students on F-1 visas to be eligible to work in the United States for an additional 24 months under the OPT (Optional Practical Training) extension.
