Please register for your summer course(s) on the MySanDiego Portal. After online registration ends please submit the Torero Hub Question Form and select Add/Drop with your registration request. Please note that after online registration ends tuition will be due at the time of registration.

Summer Sessions 2026 runs June 1 - August 21. There are various 3-week and 6-week sessions through out the summer. Please see Important Dates for details.

If you meet the guidelines to take a class Pass/Fail and if the conditions set out in the Undergraduate Catalog. You must obtain your advisor's signature.
You may register for a maximum of 13 units during the combined summer sessions.
- Maximum of 4 units in a 3-week session
- Maximum of 7 units in a 6-week session
If more units are necessary, you may request an Appeal for Overload. Please fill out the form and save the PDF on your desktop. First, send the form to your advisor for approval as an attachment from your USD email account. When you received the approval from your advisor, please forward the form to the Dean's office for approval. Once both approvals are obtained, please send the completed form to sio@sandiego.edu (Digital signatures will be permitted).
Waitlists are kept in the Banner registration system during the online registration period. After that time, you can email the Summer and Intersession Office starting Wednesday, April 8 at 9 a.m. to get on the waitlist. Waitlists are first-come, first-served.
Tuition rates depend on your enrollment status.
For students we register during online registration Tuition is due May 1. If a student registers for a course after online registration ends then the tuition is due at the time of email registration.
Summer and Intersession require separate Financial Aid Applications. You must have already completed a FAFSA for that current academic year. The application is located under your My Financial Aid page of the portal, under the Financial Aid Useful Links section on the right-hand side.

No, that is not possible and there are no payment plans available for Summer.
Only if you officially drop the course by submiting the Torero Hub Question Form with your drop request by the refund deadline. If you fail to attend a class you’ve registered for and do not officially drop, you will be charged for the class and receive an “F” on your transcript.
Meal plans are not available, however, Campus Cash cards may be used.
All Non-USD students who wish to enroll in Summer or Intersession classes should apply through the Office of Professional and Continuing Education/Open Campus.
