...Make Aromas Brownies?
This favorite from USD's coffeehouse is a family recipe provided
by Connie DaSilva, a USD baker for more than 15 years.
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups butter
4 1/2 cups sugar
5 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup Hershey's cocoa
2 teaspoons baking soda
3 cups chocolate chips
1. Cream the butter and sugar together. Slowly add eggs and
vanilla, mix well. Combine the flour, cocoa and baking soda.
Add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture and mix well.
Add 2 cups of chocolate chips to the mix. Top with 1 cup of
chocolate chips before baking.
2. Spoon the mixture into a baking sheet with a 2-inch cake
edge,
which will allow the brownies to rise in the oven.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes, or until brownies
are set.
4. Once cool, drizzle with chocolate icing.
Makes 24 brownies.
