Programs
Building Peace with Justice
The programs of the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice are designed to build peace with justice by bringing people together across geographic, political, ethnic, religious, cultural and socio-economic divides. Working in San Diego as well as Asia, Latin America and West Africa, the IPJ has programs that educate and inform; build the capacity of individuals and groups so they are included in decision-making processes that promote human rights, democracy, peace and justice; offer the IPJ's technical expertise in assessing and mediating conflicts; and empower civil society to prevent, resolve and transform conflict for sustainable peace. Published materials and conferences disseminate best practices tested and proven in the field so that peacebuilders around the world can benefit from and build on the institute's work.
