The Border
Environment:
Fundamental to Our Lives
It takes an innovative binational effort to tackle the breadth
and depth of the diverse U.S. and Mexican border environmental issues.
Both governments are working cooperatively toward a single legal standard
of environmental protection, but this complex area of law has many facets
and issues. In this section, we have touched on only five transborder
environmental legal issues: water, air, hazardous waste, environmental
health, and natural resources. There are, of course, many others. |
