Recruiting Policies

USD Law Career Services endorses the National Association of Legal Placement Professionals (NALP) Principles for Professional Conduct for Career Services and Employment Professionals. We ask NALP employers to be aware of and voluntarily abide by the NALP Principles.

Non-Discrimination Policy

The University of San Diego School of Law does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or sexual orientation in the admission or status of students, in the hiring, promotion or supervision of faculty, staff or administrators, or in the administration of law school programs and procedures. The facilities and services of the Career Services Office are only available to employers whose hiring practices are consistent with this policy.

Candidates who believe employers have violated USD School of Law's non discrimination agreement have been instructed to contact Career Services.

Student Employment Weekly Hours Policy
Per ABA rules, a student may not be employed more than 20 hours per week in any week in which the student is enrolled in more than twelve class hours. During the summer term, a law school student employee may work up to 40 hours a week.
