Robert F. Wesley

Areas of Expertise

Professor Wesley teaches in the areas of tax, estates and trusts, and property law. 

Professional Experience

Wesley joined the U.S. Navy JAG Corps after law school. His first duty station was overseas working in international law representing the U.S. Government and military personnel in disputes involving two or more nations. During this period, he had an opportunity to defend a sexual assault case before the British Magistrate in Hong Kong. While in the Navy, Wesley also defended more than 200 courts-martial and acted as prosecutor in more than 50. Wesley opened his own practice specializing in family law matters when he returned to civilian life. He is now retired from full-time practice, acts as a special master for the family law courts.

Honors and Affiliations

Wesley is a member of both the California and Washington, D.C. Bars. He has also given lectures for the American Bar Association, San Diego County Bar Association, Volunteer Lawyers Program, Military Liaison Committee and the Alexander Seminars for Continuing Education.
