Teacher Credential Programs

The University of San Diego offers the teacher credential programs listed below. Further information about these programs is available through the Undergraduate Course Catalog or the Graduate Course Catalog.

School of Leadership and Education Sciences
USD's education credential programs are approved by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). Credentials are awarded by the CTC.
 
Credential Programs for Teachers:
Preliminary Single Subject credential (Secondary Education)
Preliminary Multiple Subject credential (Elementary Education)
Preliminary Education Specialist credential in Mild/Moderate Disabilities
Preliminary Education Specialist credential in Deaf/Hard of Hearing
     (in conjunction with MEd in Special Education through John Tracy Clinic)
 
Credential Programs for Other School Personnel:
Preliminary Administrative Services credential
Pupil Personnel Services credential in School Counseling (in conjunction with MA in Counseling)
