Researchers not Affiliated with USD

Researchers not affiliated with USD who wish to recruit USD students or employees as research participants must obtain USD IRB approval.
In order to apply for IRB approval at USD, unaffiliated researchers must locate a full-time, current USD faculty member who is willing to serve as a sponsor.
The USD IRB is not able to assist unaffiliated researchers with locating a sponsor.
The USD Sponsor is responsible for assisting the researcher with preparing their IRB application and obtaining all necessary signatures.
No applications from unaffiliated researchers will be accepted without all required signatures on the Signature Page of the application.
