Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) Credential
Annette Ketner is senior director of Foundation Relations. Moving from an early career in advertising and sales promotion into fundraising, her work at the Catherine McAuley Health Systems as Annual Giving director was recognized with the Target Award from the Direct Marketing Association of Detroit, and the Jerry Huntsinger Award for appeal letters which were published in "Direct Mail Letters that Work." Her experience as a fundraising director and project manager at the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences provided insight into collaborative project development among competitive organizations, which included work with Ford, Chrysler, and General Motors. Before moving to California and joining USD in 2001, she established the Corporate/Foundation office at the University of Michigan, Dearborn campus, and was best known for the successful bridging of a long-term alienation of the Ford Motor Company Fund with the Ford Foundation to work together on renovation of their common founder's estate (upon which the Dearborn campus had been built). A Certified Fund Raising Executive, Ketner works on foundation funding for university-wide priorities and in supporting the schools and colleges in identifying prospective funding.
