Graduate Study Abroad Opportunities
Developing business leaders with a global mindset
Short-Term Graduate Study Abroad
Short-term graduate business study abroad options are offered in Europe, Latin American, Asia, Middle East and Africa. (Locations vary each year.) These courses are open to graduate students from around the world, providing a truly international experience. Each location offers a choice of graduate courses, giving participants the opportunity to study topics particularly relevant to their individual career goals.
International Practicums
The International Business Practicum is a field-based, short-term consulting project for a company in another country to address a current and significant problem identified by that organization. In some cases project teams consist of University of San Diego students working with graduate business students from a university abroad.
Semester Exchange Programs
Semester exchanges with partner institutions abroad allow USD graduate business students the opportunity to attend courses at universities in several countries and earn graduate credits toward their USD graduate program. This opportunity provides students with valuable international training through course work, cultural immersion, and potential internships. Exchange relationships have been established with leading universities in Brazil, China, France, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, South Korea, Spain and others. Most of these programs offer courses in English as well as in their home languages.
Dual Degree Programs
Graduate business students at the University of San Diego (USD) have the opportunity to enroll in a Dual Degree Program with the Tecnológico de Monterrey (Tec) or the WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar (near Koblenz), Germany. The Tec system includes several campuses across Mexico as well as a Virtual University which provides cutting-edge, distance education throughout the Americas. WHU sees its mission as the education of global managers and entrepreneurs, and its programs have a very strong international focus. Dual Degree Participants can take half of their courses at USD and half at Tec or WHU to complete two Masters degrees. Both partner institutions have courses in English and the local language and are internationally accredited and recognized as having leading MBA Programs.
