Application Requirements

- International Transfer Applicants
You are a transfer applicant if you: have already completed high school, OR have received a General Education Diploma (GED), OR have successfully completed a State High School Proficiency Examination AND have enrolled in college classes.
- Completed USD Transfer Application
- Unofficial college transcript(s) from all the institutions you have attended. See Transferring College Credits
- Upload unofficial transcripts via your Torero Status Portal. Official transcripts are required if admitted.
- If you have college work from a university outside the US, you are required to submit an official course-by-course evaluation of your international transcript as part of your application. You can request a course-by-course evaluation from one of the following evaluation services: Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE), International Education Research Foundation (IERF), The Evaluation Company (TEC), or World Education Services (WES). We can also accept a course-by-course evaluation from any current member of NACES.
- Two Short Answer Essays. Read through our AI use policies here.
- Letter of Recommendation (Optional)
- You are welcome to request one letter of recommendation from a college instructor, college advisor or professional reference. Access the recommendation form details in your USD Transfer Application.
- Transfer Midterm Report
- Some applicants may be asked to submit a Transfer Midterm Report. Applicable students will be notified via their Torero Status Portal.
- Application Fee of $75
- Fee waivers are available in cases of financial hardship.
