Students on a service trip

Service

Service and Stewardship

Outdoor Adventures service opportunities give students a chance to connect with one another, care for the places we explore, and contribute to the communities around us. Through partnerships with local organizations and public lands, students can put environmental stewardship into action while spending meaningful time outdoors.

OA has partnered with organizations including Batiquitos Lagoon, the San Diego River Park Foundation, I Love A Clean San Diego, Yosemite National Park, and Zion National Park. Service projects have included habitat restoration, trail work, tree planting, invasive species removal, and community cleanups.

Whether close to campus or in a national park, these experiences let students give back, learn about the places we visit, meet new people, and leave them better than we found them.
