The Division of Mission Integration collaborates with all members of the university community to weave the mission, vision and values of the institution into every aspect of campus life. By accompanying, encouraging, supporting and offering resources to individuals, groups, offices, units and schools, the division fosters a vibrant, inclusive mission-driven culture where all people recognize their important role in animating the university's mission.
The Division of Mission Integration includes the following areas:
Office of Mission
The Office of Mission coordinates the university-wide effort to sustain and enhance the distinctive mission of USD as a Catholic university. The office serves as a resource for all those interested in acquiring a fuller appreciation of the richness and relevance of our history, mission and core values.
University Ministry
University Ministry is committed to promoting the integration of personal and informed faith, the principles and practice of Catholic Social Thought, and the knowledge and experience of Christian living for the entire USD community.
Center for Catholic Thought and Culture
The Center for Catholic Thought and Culture provides the University and the local community with opportunities to consider and find enrichment in the intellectual, social, cultural and spiritual traditions of the Catholic Church in which the University of San Diego's identity is rooted.
Tom and Karen Mulvaney Center for Community, Awareness and Action
Through reciprocal community-based learning, the Mulvaney Center engages USD students, faculty, administrators, staff and alumni to learn and act in partnership with the community, making life-long commitments to promote social change and justice.
Changemaker Hub
The Changemaker Hub envisions a campus community of students, faculty, staff and community partners who practice changemaking in a way that utilizes their learning, skills and values to actively pursue a more inclusive, sustainable and hopeful world.
Care for Our Common Home
Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato si' calls us to take immediate action in concrete ways at all levels of the university to care for our common home and all those we share it with. From policies affecting how we do business, to facilitating engagement for students, faculty and staff, to creating curricular efforts, we identify areas of opportunity to live this core value.

Leaders in Mission Formation Program
The Office of Mission is currently developing a staff formation program to be rolled out in a pilot-form in Spring 2023. This cohort-based program will invite staff and administrators to deepen their understanding of the traditions that helped establish USD as a Catholic university.
