This cohort-based program invites staff and administrators to deepen their understanding of the traditions that helped establish USD as a Catholic university and explore the richness and relevance of USD’s mission and vision for a holistic education today.
Through thoughtful dialogue, readings and reflection, participants have an opportunity for critical conversations and discernment about what it means to work at an engaged and contemporary Catholic university. Participants will consider how their unique spiritualities, traditions, gifts, expertise and wisdom can be brought into conversation with USD’s distinctive mission. Together, we will consider how the mission might enrich the work that administrators and staff already do, and determine how each participant might best contribute to animating USD’s mission. Candidates will ideally have been at USD for at least three years.
Participants from all areas of campus life – as well as from all faith backgrounds (including those who do not identify with a faith tradition) – are warmly welcome to participate. The quality of the experience will be greatly enhanced by the diversity the participants bring to it.
