Julianne Odin is the Legal Research Center’s Student Services and Technology Librarian, where she works to connect students to library services and resources through programming and outreach. With the other members of the LRC reference team, she assists students, faculty, alumni, and members of the public with a variety of legal research projects. After graduating from USD Law, Odin worked as a graduate assistant in the St. John’s University Libraries reviewing copyright and license compliance for scholarly articles added to the university’s institutional repository. She also interned in the library of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, where she completed an inventory of their collection of patent law, veterans law, and federal Indian law materials.

Odin’s professional interests include legal research instruction, legal technology, scholarly communications, and social justice. She teaches Advanced Legal Research and guest lectures on legal research topics in other law school classes.
