Computer Labs
Client Support Services maintains the Computer Labs on campus. To reserve a computer lab for a class session, please call extension 2765 to see if your desired time is available or use our online reservation system. A confirmation for your requested time and date will then be e-mailed to you.
To sign up for computer tutorials, please refer to the IT Training website or call (619) 260-4810 where someone will be available to help you.
Technical Support Services
Desktop Support Services is the unit that oversees the technicians located in the various schools at USD, and the computer replacement program on campus. If you need help with your desktop equipment or software, call the ITS Help Desk (x7900) and they'll see that you're assigned a technician who can assist you.
ITS Help Desk
The ITS Help Desk is your first stop for getting assistance with computer hardware and software, telephone, email and network problems in campus offices, labs, and student residence halls.
The ITS Help Desk also provides basic troubleshooting for Windows and Macintosh computers, as well as assistance with e-mail, web browsing, operating systems, and software.

If your question is hardware-related, the ITS Help Desk can help you directly with your equipment. If your particular issue cannot be solved over the phone, an appointment can be made for a technician to troubleshoot your office computer in person.
If your questions relate to supported software applications, the ITS Help Desk will find the appropriate technician or user services consultant to assist you.
This unit is in charge of all large-scale implementations and project management. Primarily, this team is responsible for Banner and Oracle projects and upgrades, as well as the Luminis portal, MySanDiego.

To adapt to the changing needs of students, the LDC is USD's trusted partner for incorporating modern learning strategies through instructional design, professional development, and on-demand support services. These comprehensive services are available to all faculty members who utilize Canvas as the delivery platform for their course materials whether they teach face-to-face, online or hybrid courses. We welcome all faculty members to contact us with questions, support needs or on-demand training by calling, emailing or scheduling a one-on-one consultation.

This unit is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and managing the campus network infrastructure, the external internet connection, and the wireless services around campus. Telecommunications assists with voice mail, cable TV, data, network connections, cell phones and calling cards.

University Web Services maintains the website design cycle for the university. We manage the university's digital design library, also known as Camino. We support the web editing software used by web maintainers across campus (Cascade server). This includes software training which focuses on search engine optimization, accessibility and page updating to improve the search and content experience for our site visitors. In addition, we assist in the creation of new sites and evaluate and integrate new web design techniques and technologies.
