Web Developer/Programmer
- BS, University of San Diego, Computer Science
Ms. Bailey brings a strong background in designing and implementing complex, secure information systems, with a particular focus on business logic and scalable architecture. She spent two years as a Research Scientist at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, working within the Cybersecurity, Information Protection, and Hardware Evaluation Research (CIPHER) lab in the Secure Information Systems (SIS) division. There, she contributed to government-funded research, helping architect and build an air-gapped, deployable Multi-Level Security (MLS) Cross Domain Solution (CDS) to support 5th generation pilot training on U.S. Air Force ranges. She also collaborated on a variety of independent research and development (IRAD) efforts spanning multiple disciplines.
Since 2022, Ms. Bailey has worked as a full-stack web developer at the University of San Diego, where she plays a key role in shaping both the front-end and back-end architecture of the university’s digital ecosystem. She maintains USD’s design system, Camino—a robust library of React components that powers the sandiego.edu website—while also contributing to shared development infrastructure such as Storybook and Docker environments.
In addition to front-end work, she focuses heavily on building and maintaining the underlying systems that drive functionality. This includes designing APIs, structuring databases, and developing custom applications that support both public-facing experiences and internal operations.
