This resource page exists to provide information for students interested in attending the University of San Diego as an exchange student on a J-1 visa who have NOT been nominated by an exchange partner university but currently attend a partner institution.
While USD does occasionally accept free mover students depending on variables such as per our capacity and student prior academic performance, free movers can stay at USD for a maximum of one semester only and they are subject to full USD tuition and fees. Unfortunately, we do not have any financial aid available for students in this category.
The University of San Diego only accepts free movers from our existing partnerships.
