The University of San Diego School of Law's Children's Advocacy Institute has now completed its contract with the Judicial Council of California to present live trainings around the state on promising and effective practices and strategies to positively impact permanency* efforts and outcomes, with a special focus on the first 90 days of a child welfare case. This training was intended for judicial officers, attorneys, child welfare professionals, probation officers, tribal representatives and advocates, community advocates, CASAs, and other interested persons.

If you have questions about this training program, please email Elisa Weichel at eweichel@sandiego.edu.

*The term permanency, as used in the context of this training program, means permanent connections for children and youth. This can be in the form of reunification or finding another permanent home, and includes connections to the child's biological family, neighborhood, and culture.
